1:30 a.m. - 2006-01-16 First the raft people came back, Sawyer, Jin but not Walt. I don't know what i'd do if Aaron wasn't here with me. Just for the few hours that the french woman had him I felt empty. But as happy as we were that they came back, they also brought bad news. Shannon was shot and killed. After Charlie she was my best friend and it's werid not to see her walking on the beach with Vincent or hugging Sayid. It hit me more than with Boone, it's so strange to think that we've only known each other for a little over a month but we are like family. As Sayid said at the funeral 'if it wasn't for the island we would have never met'. She was shot by one of the people who landed on the other side of the island, Ana I think her name is. It was only today that i spoke to one of the them. His name is Mr Eko. I saw him sitting on the beach and decided to introduce myself and Aaron. It looks like they had it so much harder than us. So that's what's happened so far but it's today that i'm trying to take my mind off. I told Mr Eko about how Charlie is a religious man because of that damm statue he carries around but what a fool i was. I really didn't see this coming....
